Superunloader unleashed their second album "Goes #2" to a host of anticipating fans and was nominated "Best Local Recording" at the 1997 San Diego Music Awards. The album contains what Will Shilling of ID Magazine called "a seamless body of well crafted songs, dramatic mood shifts, and subtle storylines."

The addition of a horn section featuring Andy Gibe of Wise Monkey Orchestra and Robbie Helm, interweaved with hard hitting guitar solos and edgy vocal tracks, provided for a more "in your face" punchy sound.

The album's basic tracks were recorded on ADAT at Belly Up studio's. To create a move live feel they recorded the guitar, bass, and drums at the same time. The tracks were then taken home and embellished with guitar and horn overdubs and then topped off with tracks of vocals. The tapes were then mixed through an MCI board to 1/4" analog and then mastered with Sonic Solutions at Golden Track studios.
